Lewis Capaldi, born October 7, 1996, in Glasgow, Scotland, is a Scottish singer-songwriter. Initially, he developed his skills learning guitar at age nine. Subsequently, he performed in local pubs as a youth. By age 17, he pursued music full-time.

His debut single “Bruises” (2017) quickly gained millions of streams. Then, he released the “Bloom” EP and signed with Universal’s Vertigo Berlin.

Following this, Capaldi’s breakthrough came in 2018 with “Someone You Loved,” which topped UK and US charts. Moreover, the song won the 2020 Brit Award for Song of the Year.

In May 2019, he released his debut album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which topped UK charts for six weeks. Additionally, the album became the best-selling UK album of 2019 and 2020. It included hits such as “Hold Me While You Wait” and “Before You Go.”

Afterward, his second album Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent was released in 2023, featuring singles like “Forget Me” and “Wish You the Best.”

Furthermore, in 2025, he released singles including “Survive” and “Something in the Heavens,” preparing for an upcoming album, Including a fully sold out UK & Ireland arena tour.

Capaldi’s touring history includes supporting acts like Rag’n’Bone Man and Sam Smith. His 2025 tours cover the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

2026 looks to be Lewis Capaldi’s biggest year, including his third Album ‘Songs I’ll Never Forget‘ and biggest tour to date including outdoor shows at Dublin’s Marlay Park, Manchester’s Whythenshawe Park and headling 2 sold out shows at London’s Hyde Park for the BST Festival.
