Foo Fighters is an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1994.

Initially, it was a one-man project by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Then, Grohl recorded their debut album Foo Fighters, in 1995, playing almost all instruments himself. Afterwards, he recruited bassist Nate Mendel, guitarist Pat Smear, and drummer William Goldsmith to form a full band.

Next, they released The Colour and the Shape in 1997, which featured hits like “Everlong” and “My Hero.”

Following lineup changes, including the addition of drummer Taylor Hawkins, the band continued to grow.

In 2002, they released One by One and then In Your Honor in 2005, a double album that split rock and acoustic songs. Later, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace came out in 2007, winning multiple Grammys.

Tragically, Taylor Hawkins passed away in 2022, but the band vowed to continue. Meanwhile, they released new music like But Here We Are in 2023 and planned extensive tours.

Throughout their career, Foo Fighters have delivered electrifying live shows worldwide, including the Concrete and Gold tour, Everything or Nothing tour, Medicine at Midnight tour and the hugely successful 2024 But Here We Are world stadium tour.

2026 brings Foo Fighters back on their Take Cover stadium tour with Queens of the Stone Age.
