Gorillaz is a virtual band. It was created in 1998 by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. First, the band members are animated characters.

They are 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. However, Damon Albarn is the main musician behind their sound.

Their first album, Gorillaz (2001), mixed many styles. For example, it had hits like “Clint Eastwood.” As a result, the album went triple platinum in the UK. Next, Demon Days (2005) came out. It was a huge success. Moreover, songs like “Feel Good Inc.” and “DARE” became very popular.

In 2010, they released Plastic Beach. This album had environmental themes. Additionally, famous artists like Lou Reed helped out. They toured with the Escape to Plastic Beach tour.

Later, they made The Fall (2010) mostly on the road. After that, they released Humanz in 2017 and subsequent 2017 Humanz UK Tour.

Then came The Now Now in 2018 and Song Machine in 2020. In 2023, Gorillaz released their eighth album, Cracker Island.

In 2025 they announced a series of comeback shows London’s Copper Box Arena. These shows featured many new and classic songs, mixes music and animations.

Also announced in 2025 was a full new album The Mountain. Following this will be The Mountain 2026 UK Arena tour.

Expect the 2026 tour to be a memorable event. Ultimately, it will mark another chapter in their amazing journey, including their largest ever show at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
